Getting Started

Download the Claude app from the App Store or Google Play. Log in with the same account you use on claude.ai. All conversation history syncs automatically.

What Is Mobile Especially Useful For?

On mobile, people use Claude a bit differently than on desktop. Here are situations where mobile really shines:

• Voice input — dictate questions instead of typing. Perfect when you are on the go.
• Photo of text — take a photo of a document, letter, or sign and ask Claude to explain or translate it.
• Quick answers — look up facts, check grammar in a message, or get help with an email.
• Ideas on the go — when you get an idea on the bus, you can develop it with Claude right away.

Voice Input — an Underrated Feature

Tap the microphone icon in the text field and speak to Claude. Your phone transcribes what you say and Claude responds. This is surprisingly effective for long questions where typing is cumbersome.

Image Upload on Mobile

Tap the image icon in the chat and select a photo from your camera or gallery. Claude can analyze graphs, read handwriting, describe images, or help you understand something you photographed.

Syncing Across Devices

Start a conversation on mobile, continue on desktop. Everything is saved in your Claude account. You never have to start over just because you switched devices.
